The mighty Gogala linden tree in Zgornja Radovna grows at an altitude of 725 m. Proud of the attraction on their home yard, the Gogala family recalls how as late as in the first half of the 20th century the branches of the tree were still cut in winter for the feeding of sheep. At the chest height, the trunk of the tree has a circumference of 630 cm, meaning that it spans over two metres in the diameter. Its mighty crown stretches 23.8 m in height. Due to its distinguished size and age, the tree is protected and registered in the Slovenian Dendrological Natural Heritage Inventory. The locals mention its age as 800 years, with the fact also recorded on the topographical map of the area.
