Cycling route Radovna

The cycling route Radovna is suitable both for families and avid cyclists. The starting point is at the information board at the Krnica bus stop. If arriving by car, you can leave it in Krnica. From here, the options are to cycle to the Pocar Homestead in Zgornja Radovna or to the mountain lodge in Krma. More experienced cyclists can continue to Mojstrana where they can join the ‘Jure Robič’ cycling route and afterwards return to the starting point via Jesenice.

Option A
Easy cycling tour, suitable for families.
From Zgornje Gorje or Krnica, set off on a trip along the valley of the Radovna river. The path ends in Zgornja Radovna near the Pocar homestead or Psnak. The most persistent can cycle all the way to Kovinarska koča cottage in Krma. Along the way, you can see the Napoleon stone, the monument to burned-down Radovna, the Psnak sawmill and mill, Lake Kreda and the Gogala linden tree. After enjoying some refreshments at Psnak, return the same way back to the starting point.

Option B – Around Mežakla
A diverse circular path leads through the valley of Radovna, past the Napoleon stone, the monument to burned-down Radovna, the Psnak sawmill and mill to the Pocar homestead in Zgornja Radovna. After a short but steep ascent, descend to Mojstrana where you can join the ‘Jure Robič’ cycling route and continue past Jesenice and further along the local road to Spodnje and Zgornje Gorje.
In Mojstrana, the true cycling enthusiasts can continue towards Kranjska Gora, Rateče and along the Alpe Adria route further to the Lakes of Fusine (Belopeška jezera).
